So we finally did it and put in an offer on a house. I'm fairly certain they'll counter, so nothing is certain, but it's a step in the right direction. It's older, but totally remodeled inside and really cute. The outside absolutely NEEDS some paint and a few other cosmetic things but the inside is great and perfect for our needs. Here are some pictures:
This is the front. Like I said, it definately needs some paint, but nothing too serious.
this is what you see as you walk in the front door--we love this little nook for the dining room table but will probably knock out that little half wall that has all the plants on it. Sadly, the renters have a whole bunch of crap in the house that makes it look way smaller than it actually is.
This is the living room upstairs. Or, as we call it, "The Home Teacher Room." Kind of small, but okay for us. I love the can lights--it reminds me of my mission.
This is the family room downstairs. The downstairs is technically a mother in law apartment, with a full kitchen and everything. (Another thing we will eventually tear out) It's HUGE down there. We LOVE it. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Not bad.
The backyard. It has a sandbox (Jack will be in HEAVEN!!) and the swingset is included. It has 2 basketball hoops and it's on nearly 1/3 acre.
So we put in our offer today and we'll hear back on it tomorrow. I'm not "betting the farm" on it but hopeful it'll work out. Cross your fingers for us. I'll post when I know what we're doing!
5 smart remarks:
How exciting! I take it that you're staying in Utah, then?
As much as I hate you a little bit for not moving to AZ... I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR NEW HOUSE! Aaaahhhh!!!! Congratulations! (and I promise to let out an even louder, and more shrill & girly scream when you close.) Wahoo! :)
Yep. We're here for a bit. Sigh.
Ah, Utah. A fate worse than death. You're braving the trial with dignity, my dear. :-)
So, did they accept your offer?
whoah, congratulations! It is beautiful! Where is it?
