Hey all--I'm sure you've been tormented by the floating baby on the right side of this blog and are losing sleep wondering how Baby Elisabeth is doing. Well, let me tell you!
Visited the ole midwife today (love this woman!). All is well--Lizzy weighs about 5 lbs 9 oz right now and seems healthy as can be! We got a FANTASTIC 3D shot, which I considered posting, but I know some people think they look creepy so I'll not inflict that upon you. I think it's awesome. You can see her face perfectly (she was asleep) and she has her hands together on the side of her face. Oh my heck. She has these chubby cheeks and..gaaaa! Adorable. Anyhoo--I'm 35 weeks right now and Christy (midwife) said she would like to induce me at 39 weeks instead of letting me go all the way to 40 weeks. We had a ton of problems with Jack's delivery because he was so big and ended up getting stuck, etc. (it's a miracle I'm doing this again on purpose after what we went through!) and she doesn't even want to approach the possibility of any of that happening again. So she wants to induce me while Lizzy is still relatively small (between 7-8 lbs). She also wants me to see a perinatologist at 38 weeks to see where the baby is positioned, to see how much she weighs, etc. If it looks like there is any possibility of complications, we'll schedule a C-Section. So for right now, we're sitting pretty (and I have a nice little prescription for Ambien to help me sleep at night..) and won't have any news for a couple of weeks. There you have it! As my friend Joe would say, "OK then."

Congratulations on getting to go a whole week early! I'm glad to hear everything is going well!
Aw, shucks. Post the pic and let us come up with captions for it. We'll be nice, I promise!
Glad to hear all is well.
I'm so excited to meet Lizzy! And I love that you're spelling her name with an s. Elisabeth with an s is so much more alluring than Elizabeth with a Z. E-mail the pic to me, please! Je vous aime!
peggy, i love her name!!!!
also, i had isabelle a week early to by scheduled c-section, same reason, they didn't want her to get too big. i did have some complications with isaiah and had to have an emergency c-section after 11 hours of labor. he was too big for my relatively little body at 8 lbs 11 oz. belle ended up being 7 lbs 11 oz. i actually liked doing the c-section. let me know if you have any questions regarding those. i can tell you all about them. good luck with everything! i am soooo excited for you guys!!!!!
