Let's hear it for the boy....

Okay, before I get to the pictures of Lizzy, let me just take a moment (hey, whose blog is this anyway????) to brag about The Boy.

It's Mother's Day weekend and while I appreciate the love, I have to say that this week Scott has been mother, father, husband AND son all at once. He's never complained (though he has made a few jokes) and even the nurses in the hospital were telling me how lucky I was to have such a great husband. (Yesterday morning, he was up at 5AM so he decided to go try to get some work done since he ended up taking the week off work to stay with me in the hospital. So he was in the cafeteria working when I woke up at 7:30. The morning nurse brought Lizzy to me and told me to remember to order breakfast. I said, "Oh! Thank you! I would've forgotten without my husband to remind me!" Then the cute little CNA came in to check my vitals and asked if she could get me anything. I was like, "Um, could you pull the phone over here so I can order breakfast? Oh, and can I get some ice water? I think my baby might need a clean shirt--I think she barfed on that one..." I felt so bad asking this cute little friend to do all these things for me because normally Scott would just do them without my needing to ask. He made sure I always had fresh ice water, a cold ice pack and food to eat. He took care of Lizzy the whole time we were at the hospital so I could rest and reminded me to get food, pain pills and go for walks. Since we've been home, he's barely had any rest. He stayed up all night with her (and I do mean all night..the second he put her down she would wake up and start crying. Finally at 4, I knew he was exhausted and hauled myself out of bed to take care of her. He has changed more diapers and warmed up FAR more bottles than I have. So not only is he taking care of me and Lizzy, but his mom is here and so he's been running for her as well. He played Legos with Jack today and has done all of our laundry. Right now, he's on his way to the store to get stuff to put Lizzy's swing together and to grab a last-minute Mother's Day gift for his mom for tomorrow. Seriously, he is WONDERFUL and I am so grateful for him. He deserves the greatest Father's Day ever next month and I'm glad that I'll be feeling better by then so I can pamper him for a change!
Okay, enough bragging. Here are pictures of our cute muffin. (These are the same ones on my Facebook)

Oh, my goodness. I love these pics of your little babe. She's BEAUTIFUL, and I love her.

And who else do I love? Scott. It's official, he's holding the oh, so coveted #1 spot on my current Fav Husband of Friends list. I love that he's taking such good care of you. Honestly, what a guy. You did a good job husband-picking, that's for sure. :-)
