1. My first thought of the day is something of a downer, so I'll say it quickly and get it over with: Life is not only fragile, it is short. Make sure those you love know you love them every day. To all of you: thank you for the ways each of you individually and collectively for blessing my life.
2. I forgot to ask for mashed potatoes at KFC today instead of potato wedges. It turned out okay in the end, though, and they weren't bad at all. My only complaint is that the side of the box was marked "Caution: Hot" and they were lukewarm at best. Maybe they could change their verbiage to "Caution: Hopefully hot, but probably not." Not only is that informative, it rhymes.
3. Anyone have any ideas for Valentine's gifts for Scott?
4. Who invented the term "Joe Schmoe" anyway? And is it possible that, somewhere out there, a poor guy is ACTUALLY named "Joe Schmoe?"
5. I am currently without sewing machine. This would not be a problem for pre-Utah Peggy, but Domestic Diva Peggy is mid-birthday present and also needs to start making a quilt!!!
6. I'm really hungry. I wonder if Scott is going to be a champ and start dinner since he'll be home before me. Heck, I'd settle for him doing the dishes I didn't get to last night!
7. 93 days until my "retirement." ; )
8. I really want a Diet Coke, but the ice machine is ALL THE WAY downstairs. Ughhhh...
9. In France, everyone has a "fete." (Holiday) On the French calendar, every day is assigned to a saint and your holiday is the day they celebrate the saint that shares your name (or the root of your name.) It's just good fun. I want to know which day MY fete is, or Jack's fete...wouldn't it be fun to have TWO special days? (Birthday AND fete?) I think it'd be great.
10. I think I'm going to make the voyage downstairs to the old ice machine. Wish me luck.
