Peggy's Pretty Priceless Passing Points

1. Okay, first and foremost, I must say that once again, I'm a little sleep deprived and cranky. Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.
2. I bought Pride and Prejudice without having seen it. The new one with Kiera Knightly. Someone I work with raved about it...it's so much more artistic...his wife bought it the first day it came out and watched it twice in one day because she loved it so much...blah blah blah. The only movie that was a worse rip off was the Scarlet Letter. It was the biggest piece of crap on film that I have ever seen. If you have not read the book or seen the movie, you might not want to poke your eyes out. If you have done either, you will probably feel the same way I do. It goes WAY too fast, they skim over EVERYTHING; the casting was horrible, the acting is not good, the script doesn't match the period, it was just wildly inaccurate. I think that whoever wrote the script might have read the book once in high school so they VAGUELY remember what it said...I was so angry.
3. Someone just told me she went to a Chinese restaurant last night and her fortune was, "A nice cake is coming your way." Not a delicious cake or a chocolate cake, a "nice cake." Well-behaved, if you will. Lucky her. I hate mean cakes.
4. So for those of you who work here and know Marilyn Manning, I saw her butch cigarette smoking twin at the bank today. Yikes.
5. I wonder if someone, somewhere, is wearing the same sweater I am...
6. I went to the old Seagull Book and Tape (Doug--they had two sigon-su (those number things) puzzles for like $1.99 each and I was going to buy them and send them but I forgot. Why am I even telling you then? Especially since I once got so bugged at Scott for telling me, "I was going to buy you flowers, but I didn't." WHY EVEN MENTION IT?? So I don't know why I'm telling you this, except so you know I was thinking about you and I might go back. I just don't know if you already have them...how complicated) ANYHOO...I went in an effort to purchase ONE SPECIFIC THING that I knew they would have, but if they didn't, I had a plan B that I was pretty sure they would have. Well, friends, they had neither. (Although they had two of plan A in their West Jordan store if I wanted to go get it. At this point, my 15 minute break from work to run over and get it turned into 4 minutes at the ATM at the bank trying to get my debit card to go into the little slot, then 10 minutes waiting for the teller to cash my $20 check which he did without saying a word to me, then easily 15 minutes of me trying to FIND said item, needed an alternative, I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO GO TO THE WEST JORDAN STORE! So I made a random purchase, hoping it wouldn't be too crappy and came back to work. Sheesh.
7. I'm skipping number 7 because number 6 was really like 12 random thoughts all together.
8. I could have bought Lady and the Tramp instead of Pride and Prejudice, but noooooo..."It's my favorite movie!" I thought. I've SEEN Lady and the Tramp. I KNOW that's a good movie. (Mary--we are still getting together to watch it on Wednesday. I promised the creep who recommended the movie that I'd watch it a second time and give it another chance.)
9. I need to decide right now what I'm eating for lunch.
10. I think I'm going to shave my head and start over with my hair. I just really don't like it. Should never have cut it...It could be in a ponytail right now.
