So this is what happened: Today is another day with Ian--no worries, he's a great kid, way low maintenance, not a big deal. So one of my other friends calls and says that she has a conference today, can I watch her daughter for a few hours? Sure...they'll all play together. 3 kids is kinda crazy, but I'm brave and I can handle it. The doorbell rings and it's my brother in law and his wife, "Hey! We're leaving for the airport! Thanks for agreeing to watch Bo! (The huge weimereiner) See ya!" Okay, two kids and a dog. Ding dong. Kid #3 is here. We're surviving--I'm feeling a little stress, but nothing unmanageable. Phone rings. Neighbors who are adopting a baby this month. "Peggy, it's me! She's in labor we've got to go to the hospital! I'm on my way over with John!!" Holy crap. Are you keeping track? I am now at 4 kids and a dog. A dog who, by the way, scares the holy living crap out of kid#4 so every time he comes near, kid lets out a shriek that I'm pretty sure is going to alert DCFS. I had better clean up around here to prepare for the visit. Fortunately, (well not FORTUNATELY, I mean she's a cute girl and Jack loved playing with her) kid #3 went home so I'm down to three kids and a dog which, for some crazy reason, doesn't seem so hard. Except that I had to figure out what to do with 3 kids with all different nap times and a bed shortage. So I put them all to bed at the same time and hope they'll deal with it. I am now enjoying a brief moment of silence before they're all up and running and not sharing and hitting the dog and taunting the cat.
FFA is not going to get posted today and you are going to have to deal with it!!! Ta ta for now.

3 smart remarks:
Do I see "Sucker" stamped on your forehead?
Hang in there, kiddo. You should sleep well tonight.
Looking forward to your FFA post...tomorrow!
We are holding a "Just Say No" support group at my house Saturday night. I am officially inviting you to come. We will have a special guest to help us in our quest to be "sucker" stamp free.
And if you never get your FFA post done, that was hilarious on it's own!
So, what, you think that's some sort of excuse of something? Listen, when I post a topic, I expect promptness in response.
Okay, so then there's the fact that I haven't posted mine yet. I was basically working all day . . . it's a long story. I'm just trying to decide whether to whip something up for FFA, or just go to bed. Tough decision.
